Quad, ATV & Side-by-Side Conversions: Custom Solutions for Every Job
A quad, ATV or side-by-side doesn't have to stay the way it leaves the factory. In forestry, farming, hunting, snow clearing or commercial use in particular, the right conversion often decides how useful a vehicle really is.
From simple accessories to a custom special body, a great deal can be adapted to the intended use.
What can be converted on an ATV or side-by-side?
The options depend heavily on the vehicle and on what it will be used for. Typical conversions include winches, snow ploughs, spreaders, cabs, heaters, work lights, additional lighting, transport solutions or special bodies on the cargo bed.
More extensive special solutions are possible too. The CFMOTO UFORCE in our picture, for example, shows how a side-by-side can be equipped with a firefighting unit on the cargo bed for a very specific purpose.
The job decides the conversion
A vehicle for hunting needs different equipment from a side-by-side for snow clearing. In farming, transport capacity and everyday practicality come first, while in forestry it may be protection, tyres, lighting and a winch that matter.
So the first question shouldn't be: What accessories are available?
But rather: What does the vehicle need to be able to do?
Only then can you sensibly decide which equipment is actually needed.
A custom conversion instead of off-the-shelf accessories
Not every requirement can be met with a single accessory. Often the right solution only comes from combining several components.
Things like payload, dimensions, power supply, mounting options and technical approval also play a part. For larger conversions in particular, it's worth checking in advance what can sensibly be done on the vehicle in question.
Configuring an ATV or side-by-side for the job
If you already own a vehicle, you can have it checked which conversions are possible for it. With a new vehicle, the equipment you need can be taken into account right at the configuration stage.
The result isn't a vehicle with as many accessories bolted on as possible, but one built for the job it actually has to do.
